STUDENT ORIENTATION
The student reorientation for the Second Semester of AY 2025-2026 was a resounding success, serving as a strategic platform to introduce CLB’s upcoming programs. Aligned with the vision and mission of the Batangas City Government under the able leadership of Mayor Marvey Marino, the initiative not only engaged students but also strengthened the connection between institutional goals and the city’s broader educational priorities.

SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

In January, the CLB Scholarship Program achieved a major milestone with the addition of 1,000 new slots generously provided by Governor Vilma Santos-Recto. Additionally, 374 students were named beneficiaries of the CHED Tertiary Education Subsidy (CHED – TES). This new progress in the Colegio ng Lungsod ng Batangas (CLB) Scholarship Program has expanded financial support to deserving students.

The MUSTANGS

The CLB Community takes immense pride in the remarkable accomplishments of our student-athletes, the MUSTANGS, who claimed CHAMPIONSHIP honors in the local qualifying tournament of the National Basketball Training Center (NBTC). Godwin Virrey earned the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award, while Mikko Rosales and Jhon Russell Reyes were named to the Mythical 5 team – recognizing their outstanding individual performances throughout the competition.

RESEARCH and LINKAGES

CLB has achieved a significant milestone in advancing teacher education by successfully establishing a collaborative linkage with eight (8) leading Teacher Education Institutions across the Province of Batangas, forming a unified consortium. This landmark partnership creates a powerful network that will standardize quality in teacher training, facilitate resource sharing, promote innovative pedagogical practices, and ensure alignment with regional educational goals – ultimately elevating the caliber of teaching professionals serving Batangas' students and strengthening the foundation of the province's education system.

APPLICATION AND ADMISSIONS for AY 2026-2027

Another major achievement is the successful activation and full rollout of the online application and admission system in December – which has already processed 512 applicants to date. Having been established previously, the system was optimized and scaled up for this cycle, and with admissions still ongoing, the extended window provides greater accessibility and flexibility, giving more aspiring students ample time to secure their slots and seize the opportunity to become CLB scholars.
