In the present uncertain, trying times that they are beleaguered with, this dreaded
pandemic shall not in any way bring to a halt the fervent hope and sheer optimism to
be true to their mission as they commit to the continuity of teaching and learning
in their most beloved institution – the Colegio ng Lungsod ng Batangas.
They draw the highest inspiration from the scholars who continue and persist in
attaining their dreams of obtaining a College diploma and hopefully improve their
meager lives. Their considerable perseverance and consistency is their source of
motivation to hurdle the ills of pandemic life.
In connection, as part of the undisputable yearning and thrust to support the online
teaching and learning process of the faculty and students, respectively, the local
leaders headed by the honorable Mayor Beverley Rose A. Dimacuha and the most revered
Congressman Marvey Mariño contemplated, once again, on reaching out further to the
CLB community. Thus, on February 9 to 12, 2021, 818 tablets
and 27 laptops were handed over to the
faculty.
The foresight of the power couple, Mayor Dimacuha and Congressman Mariño can
never be discounted nor disregarded. Their effective governance has been tested
and proven by their constituents. They have been a shining example of
accomplishing humanitarian work for the marginalized sector of the society.
Indeed, the recipients of the aforementioned gadgets were exultant and all the
more grateful since there will be no more reasons or impediments to them to
carry out their responsibilities expected of them to deliver. This act of
benevolence and good deed shall linger on in the hearts of the beneficiaries
deserving of support, provision and backing from the local authorities who act
and do the job with utmost enthusiasm and lasting commitment.
Foremost elated and most appreciative with the kind gesture of the local
government was the CLB College Administrator, Dr. Lorna L. Gappi. She intimated
her delight over the efficient sharing and distribution of the said gadgets. She
enthused that the lifelong contribution and involvement of the LGU in the school
establishes and creates an auspicious luck for the scholars whom they serve and
the CLB community, in general.
Evidently, with the gadgets on hand, it is ascertained that CLB can
competitively adapt to the new normal. Albeit, the way of life now may be far
different and changed; nevertheless, they will risk life and limb to help and
provide for the teachers and learners alike in order for their commitment and
moral obligation to the school to be more inherent in each one of them.
