Colegio ng Lungsod ng Batangas Makes Historic First at the Regional Higher Education Press Conference

CLB etched its mark in the history books as it joins the Regional Higher Education Press Conference in Batis Aramin Resort, Lucban Quezon from February 20-22, 2024. This is a historic event as the student journalists from CLIMB participated for the first time in this prestigious event. A strong 14-man delegation was fielded by the college as it tried its mettle against the best in Region IV-A (CALABARZON).

The results were beyond expectations as CLB took one (1) team prize and four (4) individual plums. CLIMB, the official school publication took home the 9th place in the Best Sports Page (Tabloid Category). The individual winners include graduating BEED student Catherine Narzoles who ranked 3rd in the Dev Com Writing Filipino. John Fernan Lasco, a freshman of BSBA major in Human Resource Management placed 7th in the Comic Strip (Filipino). Stephanie Hernandez, a first year BSA student nabbed the 8th place in Copyreading and Headline Writing (English) while 3rd year BSBA (Marketing Management) student Christian Rey Sumanga landed 10th in the Poetry Writing (English). The performance of Narzoles also qualifies her for the Luzonwide Higher Education Press Conference (LHEPC) in Naga.

The Learning Resource Center at Colegio Ng Lungsod Ng Batangas reopened its doors on February 20, following renovations aimed at enhancing its facilities and services. Mayor Beverly Rose Dimacuha graced the occasion with a visit, delivering a speech commending the institution's commitment to providing quality education resources to the community. The reopening marks a significant milestone in the school's dedication to fostering academic excellence and access to learning opportunities for its students.

College of Education 4th Year Students Kick-off: OJT and Practice Teaching Pinning Ceremony

The College of Education's 4th-year students embarked on their On-the-Job Training (OJT) and official Practice Teaching with a distinguished Pinning Ceremony held on January 19, 2024.

The ceremony, attended by faculty, students, and esteemed parents, featured the presentation of distinctive pins to each student. These pins serve as a symbolic commitment to the teaching profession and mark the beginning of their practical teaching journey.

The ceremony marked the official commencement of the students' OJT and Practice Teaching, providing them with opportunities to apply their theoretical knowledge in real-world classroom settings under mentorship.

The Pinning Ceremony at the College of Education not only celebrated academic achievements but also symbolized the students' commitment to practical learning. As they step into OJT and Practice Teaching, these future educators carry with them the emblem of their dedication to shaping the future of education.

Colegio ng Lungsod ng Batangas Joins Batangas City Fiesta Parade

On January 16, 2024, first-year students, Student Executive Council officers, Varsity Basketball players, and faculty members from Colegio ng Lungsod ng Batangas enthusiastically participated in the Batangas City Fiesta Parade. The parade, themed "Sulong Masiglang Lungsod ng Batangas," commenced at the Batangas City Sports Coliseum and culminated at Plaza Mabini.

The spirited participation of the school community showcased unity and diversity, painting the streets with vibrant colors and jubilant energy. It was a celebration of togetherness, highlighting the rich mix of Batangas City's culture and heritage.

MS. SYDNEY MIRANDO TRIUMPHS AT BB. LUNGSOD NG BATANGAS 2024, CROWNED 4TH RUNNER-UP AND MISS FRIENDSHIP

Ms. Sydney Mirando, a 3rd-year student pursuing a Bachelor of Elementary Education, emerged victorious at the Bb. Lungsod ng Batangas 2024 pageant. Her stage presence and grace not only captured the audience's hearts but also secured her the prestigious title of Bb. Lungsod ng Batangas 4th Runner-Up. The crowning achievement, however, didn't stop there – Ms. Mirando was also honored with the coveted title of Miss Friendship, for her amiable personality.

This moment unfolded last January 14, 2023, marking a milestone in Ms. Mirando's journey. Surrounded by cheers and applause, she graciously accepted her crowns, symbolizing not only her beauty but also her ability to forge meaningful connections. Ms. Sydney Mirando's double triumph at the pageant has not only brought pride to her institution but has also solidified her status in the world of beauty and congeniality.
