October 11, 2024 - Colegio ng Lungsod ng Batangas conducted an Internship Workshop Seminar titled "Building Your Professional Future: Job Application, Interview Skills, and Personal Branding" at the CLB Audio-Visual Room. The event, held from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, aimed to equip students with essential skills for their On-the-Job Training (OJT) and future careers.
The event highlighted the journey of these students and their preparation towards internship. Gracing the event was Dr. Mary Ann Antenor, OIC-College Administrator. Distinguished resource speakers were also present - Ms. Welch L. Fortu. Ms. Fortu and Ms. Marinel Andal who both made compelling discussions on importance of curriculum vitae and self-presentation.
Participants gained practical insights on job applications, interview techniques, and the importance of personal branding. This initiative reflects the institution's commitment to bridging academic learning with real-world experience, fostering confidence and professionalism among future graduates.

October 11, 2024 - In anticipation of the upcoming Batangas Universities, Schools, and Colleges Athletic Association (BUSCAA) 2024, the CLB Sports and Development held table tennis tryouts at the Cultural Room. In a Single Round Robin format, ten committed students, consisting of eight boys and two girls, competed against one another to earn a seat on the team.
Among the standout performers was Clarisse Mendoza (BSBA 1-1), who finished with an impressive 7 wins and only 2 losses. Meanwhile, Ramcel Caraan (BPED 4-1), Raul Pedres (BEED 2-1), and Mark Macalindong (BSBA 3-1) each finished with 6 wins and 3 losses. Vladymyr Lumague (BPED 4-1) and Khristelle Gunay (BEED 2-1) further strengthened the lineup with their remarkable displays of skill, making this round of matches a testament to the high level of talent and competitive round of matches.
The tryouts highlighted not just the results but the athletes’ dedication, skill, and enthusiasm for the game. The focus remains on developing a strong team that embodies the values of perseverance and resilience. As CLB athletes prepare for the upcoming BUSCAA 2024, they aim to make sports an integral part of their college experience while growing both as individuals and as a team.

October 10-12, 2024 - Diploma in Technology and Livelihood Major in Industrial Arts students gained another milestone as they completed the National Certificate II assessment in Automotive Servicing at the TESDA Assessment Center. As part of the DTL Curriculum, DTL students continuously gained knowledge, experience, and practical skills, which they can apply in a real-world setting for their future careers. It also showed their hard work and dedication to attain this new achievement.
The certification that they received is an additional achievement for these students and also for the entire BTLED program. This achievement shows proof of the dedication of the students to be able to face the practical world, for which skills are the necessary keystone.
The continuous support of the institution is aimed at not only uplifting the student's credibility in a real-world setting but also be able to demonstrate the well-designed curriculum and learning approach of the college towards lifelong learning.

October 10-11, 2024 - Representatives from Colegio ng Lungsod ng Batangas Mr. Jericho Alay, CLIMB Adviser and Assistant Coordinator for Institutional Communications and Ms. Vanessa Roxanne Marquez took part in the Public-Private Partnership Center and USAID Urban Connect Project Capacity Development Workshop at Pontefino Hotel and Residences. The workshop was also concurrently attended by other LGU representatives via zoom.
Opening remarks was provided by City Administrator Engr. Januario Godoy together with a video message from Hon. Mayor Beverley Rose Dimacuha. emphasizing the city's commitment and support towards projects of this nature. Resource speakers for the workshop are Atty. Cris Ng-Santiago, Assistant Director Capacity Building and Knowledge Management Service, PPP Center and Mr. Jeffrey Manalo, Deputy Executive Director, PPP Center. Closing remarks was given by NEDA Regional Office - CALABARZON's OIC-Regional Director Ms. Carmel Matabang and Ms. Kris Aira Lazarte, Local Economic and Investments Promotion Officer. Hon. Congressman Mario Vittorio Mariño also gave out a video message reiterating the importance of such workshop.
PPP discussion proved to be a vital area in the governance and administration of different LGUs as the local government collaborates with the private sectors to be able to produce different projects. This workshop aimed to enhance everyone's understanding on the updates regarding the PPP Code and the changes in the IRR for such code. Several attendees from LGUs from different regions graced the event.

October 9, 2024 - Colegio ng Lungsod ng Batangas represented by its OIC-College Administrator, Dr. Mary Ann Antenor, VPAF Mr. Andrew Brian Deguito and HRMDO Head Mr. Carlo Garcia joined other departments of the Batangas City LGU in the Philippine National Public Key Infrastructure Orientation.
This orientation was spearheaded by the USAID Urban Connect Project in partnership with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT). This is part of an ongoing initiative that aims at fostering trust in government operations by ensuring secure and reliable online transactions using digital certificates. This is a strengthened commitment towards digital security, data protection and technological advancement while staying in the realm of what is right and correct.
