CLB Welcomes 749 Freshmen and Their Parents

The Colegio ng Lungsod ng Batangas (CLB) welcomed 749 freshmen and their parents during its Orientation Program held at Batangas City Sports Coliseum, July 31.

The event aimed to inspire and guide new students and their families as they begin their journey with the institution.

The City Mayor and CLB Board of Trustees Chairman, Hon. Marvey Mariño, addressed the students with a message of encouragement and purpose.

“Mag-aral kayo ng mabuti, hindi lamang para sa inyong sarili kundi para sa inyong pamilya at sa buong Batangas City," said Mayor Mariño.

College Administrator, Dr. Lorna L. Gappi, reminded the students to value the opportunity given to them.

"Huwag ninyong sayangin ang pagkakataon na ibinigay sa inyo ng Colegio ng Lungsod ng Batangas, I see the sparks in your eyes as you walk through the corridor of CLB", she emphasized.

Similarly, Executive Vice President Dr. Mary Ann E. Antenor reiterated the values of discipline and compassion, adding, “Dahil ang CLB ay tahanan ninyo, dapat sa inyo magsimula ang disiplina ng pagmamahal.”

The morning session featured introduction of faculty members and heads of offices, as well as presentations of student services, institutional policies, and campus life. In the afternoon, parents established strong communication with the institution and were also informed of the academic structure, student support systems, and school policies, emphasizing their essential role and involvement in the academic and personal development of their children.

Also, a musical performance by members of the Culture and Arts Association (CAA) added energy and enthusiasm to the event.

The program concluded with closing remarks delivered by Vice President of Academic Affairs, Dr. Dolores D. Borras.
