The Colegio ng Lungsod ng Batangas – Office of the Extension Services through the CLB CARES (Community Assistance and Response to Empower Society) successfully conducted Project ALON: International Coastal Clean-Up 2025 on September 25, 2025 at Sitio Itlugan, Cuta, Batangas City; in line with the celebration of the International Coastal Clean-Up and a global initiative in promotive environmental sustainability.
Project ALON was participated by the faculty, non-teaching personnel, and the community members in collaboration with the Sangguniang Barangay of Cuta headed by Hon. Noel Sonny S. Aguila, and the City Environment and Natural Resources Office.
Through this initiative, participants were able to collect and properly segregate various types of solid waste materials, raising awareness on the importance of sustainable waste management and responsible ecological practices.
Anchored on the mission of CLB CARES to take part in solving the problems and challenges of the community, the activity mobilized students, faculty, staff, and community volunteers in a united effort to address the pressing issue of coastal waste. This initiative stands as a testament to CLB CARES’ commitment to civic engagement, partnership, and collective action in building cleaner, healthier, and more resilient communities.
