CLB hosts LGU of San Jose, Batangas for benchmarking visit

Colegio ng Lungsod ng Batangas warmly welcomed officials and representatives from the Local Government Unit of San Jose, Batangas, on February 11, for a benchmarking visit as the municipality moves forward with plans to establish its own local college.

The delegation, led by Mayor Hon. Reggie Vertucio, visited CLB to learn from the institution’s experiences in founding and managing a local government–supported higher education institution and to gather practical insights that may guide San Jose in developing its academic and administrative systems.

CLB officials shared their institutional practices, including academic program development, administrative processes, and student support services.

These discussions provided the visiting delegation with a clearer picture of how CLB operates and sustains quality and accessible tertiary education.

San Jose delegates also took part in open discussions with the CLB management committee, exchanging ideas on governance, policy development, and long-term sustainability for a local college.

The visit strengthened ties between CLB and the LGU of San Jose, allowing both institutions to share ideas, learn from each other’s experiences, and show leadership in paving the way for other communities in higher education.
