Representing CLIMB, the official student publication of Colegio ng Lungsod ng Batangas, campus journalists secured multiple podium finishes in the Regional Higher Education Press Conference held February 14–16 at Batis Aramin Hotel and Resort.
Leading the delegation, Clyde Joseph G. Hernandez clinched 1st Place in Feature Writing (Filipino). Stephanie C. Hernandez placed 3rd in Copyreading and Headline Writing (Filipino) and 5th in Development and Communication Writing (Filipino).
In the English categories, Mark Joseph F. Magpantay secured 3rd Place in Traditional Literary Graphics Illustration, while Princess Joy D. Cueto finished 5th in Poetry Writing. Aedam Judiel C. Abistado also achieved a Top 10 finish, placing 9th in Traditional Comic Strip (Filipino).
Meanwhile, Vincent Mark B. Caniete competed in Photojournalism, Editorial Writing, and Copyreading and Headline Writing (English), and Karl Adrian R. San Miguel participated in Sports Writing, Layouting, and Poetry Writing (Filipino).
With five entries landing in the Top 5 of their respective events, CLIMB qualifiers earned the opportunity to represent Region IV-A in the upcoming Luzonwide Higher Education Press Conference, set on March 17–19 at NGN Grand Hotel in Tuguegarao City.
The results marked another strong showing for CLIMB in the regional press tilt as it advances to the Luzonwide stage.
