CLB recognized the winners of its Women’s Month 2026 competitions during the culminating program, celebrating the theme, “WE for Gender Equality and Inclusive Society: Lead Like Babaylans, Filipinas!" held at the Batangas City Sports Coliseum, March 23.
As part of the month-long celebration, CLBians participated in four major competitions conducted on March 19, namely Photography, Essay Writing, Debate, and Spoken Poetry, providing students a platform to showcase their talents and advocate for women's empowerment and inclusivity.
For the Photography competition, Mariane D. Alipoo (BSBA-MM) secured first place, followed by Djannah Armanda H. Valdez (BPED) in second and Jessie T. Valentino (BTLED) in third.
In Essay Writing, Niressa S. Mendoza (BSBA-FM) emerged as champion, while Venette Adriene G. Soleta (BSA) and Ian Kenneth A. Misajon (BSBA-HRM) placed second and third, respectively.
Meanwhile, the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration team, composed of Nicole M. Ezpeleta, Apreal Ilagan, and Monica Kate Zapata clinched the top spot in the Debate competition. The Bachelor of Science in Accountancy team, represented by Von Icarus Valencia, Janina De Vera, and Elisha Abarquez, landed second, while the Bachelor of Elementary Education team, composed of John Reyner De Guzman, Jernalyn Cleofe, and Kyla Quency Plata placed third.
Special distinctions were also awarded to Janina De Vera (BSA) as Best Speaker and Monica Kate Zapata (BSBA-FM) as Best Debater.
For Spoken Poetry, Nylamre Shaira Berberabe (BEED) captured first place, followed by Myca Jane Mabugnon (BSBA-MM) in second, and Angel Fame Fatal (BSA) in third.
In addition, Ms. Marilyn Mendoza and Ms. Wennie B. Bico were conferred the title Natatanging Babae 2026, recognizing their significant contributions and embodiment of women's leadership and empowerment.
Complementing the celebration, CLB also hosted a seminar on HIV Awareness and Young Adolescence Fertility and Sexuality, with Mr. Wilbert Alcantara as the resource speaker, further reinforcing the month’s advocacy for awareness, empowerment, and holistic well-being.
The event highlighted not only the talents of CLBians but also the collective voice in promoting gender equality and an inclusive society.
