As part of its continuing effort to promote student welfare and social awareness, CLB simultaneously held the second part of the Social Issues Student Forum on April 15, engaging students in parallel discussions focused on safety, legal protection, and responsible citizenship.
Female students, together with teaching personnel, assembled at the Batangas City Sports Coliseum for a session dedicated to Drug Use Prevention and Bomb Threat Awareness. The forum underscored the importance of proactive safety measures, proper response during emergencies, and the role of students in maintaining a secure academic environment. Resource discussions also highlighted how awareness and preparedness can help prevent threats and protect the wider school community.
At the same time, male students and their assigned advisers participated in a separate session held in designated classrooms, where discussions centered on Safe Spaces and Gender-Sensitive Laws. The forum tackled significant legal frameworks that protect individuals from abuse, violence, and harassment, including the Anti-VAWC Law, Safe Spaces Act, Anti-Sexual Harassment Law, and Anti-Rape Law.
By conducting the sessions simultaneously, the institution was able to provide focused discussions tailored to key social issues while ensuring broader student participation. The initiative also reinforced the importance of cultivating a campus culture rooted in respect, safety, and legal awareness.
The parallel sessions served not only as an avenue for learning but also as a reminder of the shared responsibility among students, faculty, and the community in fostering safe and inclusive spaces for all.
