DP World explores possible partnership and community support with CLB during courtesy visit

A delegation from DP World, a global logistics and supply chain company, visited the Colegio ng Lungsod ng Batangas (CLB) to explore possible areas of collaboration focused on education support and community development initiatives, May 21.

The delegation consisted of Mr. Vineet Mahajan, DP World Vice President for Sustainability, APAC; Mr. Dominador A. T. Bustamante, Assistant Vice President for Strategic Communications, Stakeholders, and Public Affairs; and Ms. Umaporn Yui Aempoo, Manager for Transformation and Execution.

During the visit, the delegation shared DP World’s continuing efforts to strengthen community engagement as part of its global operations and sustainability initiatives.

Both parties discussed possible partnership opportunities between DP World and CLB, particularly in areas related to education support and sustainability-driven programs. The initiative forms part of DP World’s broader corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts, which focus on creating long-term value in communities where it operates.

CLB officials presented the institution’s academic programs, student development initiatives, and ongoing efforts to expand access to quality higher education for Batangas City learners.

Both sides expressed openness to future collaboration, with initial discussions pointing to shared interests in education, sustainability, and community upliftment. While no formal agreement has been finalized, the visit serves as an initial step toward a possible partnership between the global logistics firm and the local college.

The visit also aligns with CLB's continuing efforts to strengthen its community extension programs and expand internationalization initiatives through partnerships that promote education, sustainability, and community development.
