Colegio ng Lungsod ng Batangas honored graduating students, parents, and awardees during its 2026 Recognition and Parents’ Appreciation Day at the Batangas City Convention Center, June 24.
CLB recognized students who demonstrated excellence in leadership, academics, journalism, sports, and service.
Yishin Dane V. Gutierrez received the Gawad Pamana ng Natatanging Liderato, Gawad Pamana ng Kahusayan sa Edukasyon, Outstanding Campus Journalist Award, CHED-UniFAST Hiraya ng CALABARZON Award, and Outstanding Pre-Service Teacher of the Year for BEED.
For achievements in culture and perseverance, Whelfrencezara J. Ramirez received the Gawad Pamana ng Pagpapahalaga sa Tradisyon, Sining at Kultura, while Ashley Caryl O. Ylagan received the Gawad Pamana ng Pagsisikap.
In community engagement and teacher education, Keith Ammuel S. De Torres received the Gawad Pamana ng Pagsisilbi sa Komunidad and Outstanding Pre-Service Teacher of the Year for BPED.
CLB also recognized athletic achievements through the Outstanding Student-Athlete Award and the Mayor Marvey A. Mariño Alagang Gabay sa Tagumpay in Sports Award, which were presented to Aljay De C. Sigarra and Carl Andrei R. Candor.
Additional honors were awarded to Karen Eloiza M. Frane as Outstanding Pre-Service Teacher of the Year for BTLED, Ivory N. Andino as Outstanding On-the-Job Trainee for BSBA, and Jeselle D. Guico as Outstanding On-the-Job Trainee for BSA.
Recognition was also given to the top performers in the Comprehensive Examination, namely Jenny Rose A. Ilagan for BSBA, Karylle Anne C. Tasico for BSA, Therese Sumawang-Tiamsim for BEED, Nica Mai M. Glori for BPED, and Adonis F. Parejas for BTLED.
During the Parents’ Appreciation segment, Mr. Magalang highlighted the sacrifices of parents and recognized the professors who guided students throughout their college years.
Representing the graduating class, Jenny Rose A. Ilagan expressed gratitude to the institution, faculty members, and families who supported the students throughout their academic journey.
She also encouraged her fellow graduates to remain compassionate, humble, and grateful as they move forward.
Meanwhile, parent representative Mrs. Shulamitte V. Gutierrez emphasized the sacrifices and commitment of parents in helping their children reach graduation.
The Recognition and Parents’ Appreciation Day served as a tribute to graduating students and a recognition of the contributions of parents, educators, benefactors, and community partners in their academic journey.
