May 18, 2024 - 19 select youth organizations convened in the City Youth Development Council Quarterly Meeting led by YDO Nelbert Magbanua. CLB showed its commitment and dedication to the programs of the city as 4 of its student organizations were present during the meeting - Gerralym Villanueva of SEC, Christian Rey Sumanga of JMA, Ivan James Cañal of YACAP-U and Daniel Ballester of CLIMB. Hon. Sherwin Tejada presided over the meeting under the guidance of Mr. Magbanua.
The meeting saw the duties and functions of LYDC outline especially with the new member organizations. These includes serving as the core of advocacy.
The upcoming period will be loaded with plans and exciting activities all for the improvement of the local youth. The 19 organizations will work hand-in-hand with several barangays and will focus on 10 centers for youth participation: Health, Education, Economic Empowerment, Social Inclusion and Equity, Peace Building & Security, Governance, Active Citizenship, Environment, Global Mobility and Agriculture.
The aim of these programs is to uplift the level of the individuals in the locality while empowering youth to do their fair share.
