August 17, 2024 - Batangas City celebrated “Linggo ng Kabataan” with a successful tree planting activity, featuring the active participation of student organizations such as JMA, CLIMB, and SEC. Led by the BSP and SK Rover Scouts, and under the theme "Luntian at Naggagandahang Kapaligiran, Alay ng mga Kabataan para sa Kinabukasan," 300 fruit-bearing trees were planted at the San Isidro construction evacuation center. This initiative, supported by the JG Summit Petrochemicals Group, aimed to contribute to a greener and healthier environment for future generations.
The involvement of these student organizations highlighted the dedication of the youth to environmental protection, demonstrating that their small actions can make a significant impact. The event underscored the importance of participating in such activities during “Linggo ng Kabataan” and reminded everyone of the vital role each person plays in making a difference for our environment.
