One Heart, One Soul, One CLB: the 17th Foundation Anniversary Celebration

With the theme of the 17th Foundation Anniversary Celebration - “One Heart, One Soul, One CLB”, Colegio ng Lungsod ng Batangas hopes to latch on the idea of CLB as one community – wherein the hearts, minds, and souls of every member of the organization is synched and acts as one solid and coherent unit as it celebrates its 17th Foundation Anniversary last October 25-27, 2022. This was also a big celebration for the college as this is going to be the first Foundation Day after pandemic which limited the celebration of the college into the virtual place. This was a celebration of strength as CLB was able to thrive and survive the trying times.

This serves as a celebration of all success and triumphs of Colegio ng Lungsod ng Batangas (CLB) for the past 17 years more so the year 2022. CLB takes honor and pride as it celebrates its 17th Foundation Anniversary. It is an opportune time to remind about the humble beginnings of the organization from what started as a noble idea of providing quality but affordable tertiary education to the people of Batangas City into an evolved sense of existence and responsibility for actively creating, honing, and nurturing young minds to be lifelong builders not just for the city but the larger community as a whole. CLB envisions to further unfurl itself to everyone by showcasing not only the achievements of the college but also highlighting the wit, intelligence, and wide range of talents of its faculty, staff and members.

Various programs and activities were held during the 3-day celebration to instill a brand and image of greatness and excellence while still staying true to the college’s values, morals and principles of humility, sportsmanship, social & moral responsibility, and camaraderie among each other. These are all directed towards the goal of continuous betterment, improvement and advancement thus ensuring that every CLBian become better versions of themselves.

The 3-day event held several programs that include Palarong Pinoy and mini sports fest highlighted by an exhibition match with Westmead International School. Students remained at the forefront with the Camarederie Day to show the different programs of the college and how each one does well in terms of unity, cooperation and teamwork. The event was also a showcase of CLB talents and ingenuity with both students and personnel alike showing their song and dance skills. The penultimate event for the 3-day activity which is the CLB Employee Gala Night which highlighted the best of the best in CLB. It also was an avenue to give awards and recognition to selected employees of the college for their loyalty, service and excellent performance for CLB.

The entire event also served as a reminder to everyone that the institution remains true to its passion and commitment and only sees better things for everyone – 17 years and beyond.
