August 29, 2024 - Over 1,000 runners from different parts of Batangas City joined the BIDA KONTRA DROGA COLOR FUN RUN 2024. The event, organized by the City Anti-Drug Council (CADAC) and led by Mayor Beverly Rose A. Dimacuha and CADAC Focal Person EA John Allan Centre, aimed to educate people about the Buhay ay Ingatan, Droga'y Ayawan (BIDA) Program and strengthen the fight against drugs.
Carl Andrei Candor from CLB Mustangs won the 5K Men's Division, followed by Mark Justin Alegria (2nd runner up) and Edward Mercado (3rd runner up), also from CLB Mustangs.
The event was attended by local officials, DILG Provincial Director Allan Benitez, DILG City Director Esther Dator, and Councilor Mando Lazarte, the Sangguniang Panlungsod Peace and Order Committee Chairperson. The BIDA Program wants to create a safer and healthier community for everyone by educating people about the dangers of drugs and helping them make positive choices.
