September 13, 2024 - Colegio ng Lungsod ng Batangas (CLB) joins the 50th anniversary of Batangas City's Alay Lakad, with the theme "Hakbang para sa gintong kinabukasan ng Kabataan ng Lungsod ng Batangas. Almost 1,000 participants from various sectors, including CLB students, faculty, and officers, joined the walk for a cause, raising ₱1.5 million to support youth programs.
Highlights of the event included an audio-visual presentation of Alay Lakad's ongoing projects, a plaque of appreciation for former Mayor Eduardo Dimacuha, and the distribution of allowances to 34 scholars. Mayor Beverley Dimacuha addressed the Alay Lakad beneficiaries, "Huwag sayangin ang tulong na nakamit upang maabot and mga pangarap." In addition, Eloisa Portugal, Chairperson of the Alay Lakad Executive Committee, assured that all funds raised would be distributed directly to beneficiaries. Along with that, certificates of appreciation were presented to the top contributors for 2023.
At the end of the event, Ms. Althea Nichola Salva, a Grade 12 student from the University of Batangas, was crowned the Mutya ng Alay Lakad 2024.
