The Batangas City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office successfully held the lecture-demonstration on “Emergency First Aid Training and Basic Life Support” at Colegio ng Lungsod ng Batangas. Dr. Dolores D. Borras received a warm welcome and left a message, “Napaka-importante ng life skills dahil buhay ang pinag-uusapan dito.”
Ms. Marites Garmier delivered a lecture discussion about Basic Life Support, including what to do if an emergency arises unexpectedly. Demonstrating proper procedures for assisting and handling a patient with Ms. Martinez's assistance. Following that, there will be a discussion of how to use bandages in various scenarios. Mr. Rose Mark Kinnard Cepillo presented the proper procedure and methods for transferring patients when the time comes for rescue. The second day of training provide a practical exam to all participants to test their knowledge and application.
Mr. Andrew Brian Deguito, Vice President of Administration of Finance, acknowledged and thanked everyone who helped make this event possible. Dr. Teofista Mulsid, along with the Medical and Dental Services team, expressed their heartfelt appreciation.
Batangas City DRRMO's goal is to save and prolong lives, prevent further harm, and prepare people to help and take action in the event of an emergency. Continuing the journey toward creating a safe community.
