September 25, 2024 - The Junior People Management Association of the Philippines- Collegio ng Lungsod ng Batangas Chapter (JPMAP-CLB) held its General Assembly and Oath-Taking Ceremony marking the beginning of a new chapter for the organization. The event, themed "HRM QUEST: EMBARKING ON A NEW LEVEL UP ERA," took place at the CLB Audio Visual Room and saw a vibrant turnout of Human Resource Management students.
The morning session saw Mr. Gail Magalang, Head of Student Affairs and Services, deliver an inspiring opening address, emphasizing the significance of human resources in any organization. He broke down the acronym JPMAP, highlighting its core values. Dr. Eunice G. De Guzman, Program Chair of BSBA, further echoed the importance of human resources, highlighting that "HR is not all about policies, it's about bringing out the best in people, creating an environment where everyone can grow and thrive."
The afternoon session was ushered in by President of JPMAP, John Fernan Lasco. Meanwhile, Ms. Pamela Ann Deguito, a member of the organization from the executive class, gave inspirational messages alongside the lead adviser of the student publication, Mr. Jericho S. Alay. Both highlighted the importance and relevance of being an HR professional to the success of a company. "Be a member whose mindset is committed and participative to the organization, not a member who only wants belongingness in the community. After all, the organization's activities are all for its members' enrichment," Ms. Deguito added in her inspirational remarks.
The event featured the introduction of the newly elected JPMAP officers and committee members led by Ms. Niña Katherine Guyo. Mr. John Fernan Lasco, President of JPMAP, delivered a statement of purpose and overview of the organization's rules, emphasizing the importance of the constitution and by-laws in fulfilling their duties and obligations. The ceremony also included the presentation of reports for the Academic Year 2023-2024, with Secretary General Michaella Anne Mendoza showcasing the organization's accomplishments. Ms. Ly Anne Castillo, Auditor of JPMAP, presented a comprehensive financial report for the period of November 2023 to May 2024. Karl Adrian San Miguel, VP Internal of JPMAP, presented the PPA for the Academic Year 2024-2025, outlining the organization's future plans and initiatives. The oath-taking ceremony for new members was then held, headed by John Lloyd Esguerra, 1st year representative. The awarding of certificates for former officers concluded the program with a touching closing remark from Engr. Marcos Borbon, JPMAP-CLB adviser urging the members to embrace "growth, transformation, and innovation" as they embark on this new chapter. VP External, Cherie Pie Perez and Alleah Abegail Hoyohoy served as masters of ceremony.
The event served as a powerful reminder of the crucial role of human resources in achieving success and fostering a thriving community. This General Assembly and Oath-Taking Ceremony marked a significant milestone for JPMAP-CLB, setting the stage for a year of exciting new initiatives, growth, and impactful contributions to the community.
