September 24, 2024 - Colegio ng Lungsod ng Batangas through its Student Publication, CLIMB joined the LGU of Batangas City in the "Usapang Bida 2024 Symposium" at the Batangas City Country Club. This is anchored on the program by DILG entitled BUHAY INGATAN, DROGA'Y AYAWAN (BIDA Program). YDO Nel Magbanua ,a member of the City Anti-Drug Abuse Council-Technical Working Group graced the event together with a lot of student leaders all aimed at fortifying the youth's involvement towards drug prevention.
The symposium was aimed at improving awareness amongst the youth and the public in general about the adverse effects of drugs. It also hoped to encourage the youngsters to actively join the different government sectors on the battle against drugs. Through this initiative and the concerted efforts of everyone, a community that is one in ensuring drugs and its effects are prevented would be pushed.
CLIMB was represented in the symposium by current Editor-In-Chief Yishin Dane Gutierrez. Through this event, she vows to do her share as an active enabler in the society and share all the learning with the rest of the college.
