PROJECT LIKAS 2026: TOGETHER, WE MADE A DIFFERENCE!

One Coast. One Community. One Responsibility.

Yesterday, September 19, 2026, the CLB Extension Services, together with NSTP, the Barangay Santa Clara community, partner organizations, volunteers, and various sectors, came together for Project LIKAS: International Coastal Clean-Up 2026 at Purok 1, Barangay Santa Clara, Batangas City.

From early-morning preparations to the clean-up itself, we saw what happens when a community comes together with one purpose: to care for our environment and build a cleaner, safer, more sustainable community.

To all our volunteers, residents, students, faculty, staff, barangay officials, partner organizations, sponsors, and supporters, THANK YOU!

Your time, energy, resources, and willingness to serve made this initiative possible. More than the waste we collected, we celebrate the spirit of volunteerism, partnership, and community ownership that we built together.

PROJECT LIKAS BY THE NUMBERS:
• 1,552 Volunteers
• 353 sacks of residual waste
• 16 sacks of recyclable waste
• 6,399.76 kg of residual waste collected
• 342.25 kg recyclable waste collected

That’s a total of 6,742.01 kg of collected waste from our coastal clean-up.
This is not the end of Project LIKAS. The clean-up may be over, but our responsibility continues. Let us keep our shores clean, encourage others to participate, and work together toward a more orderly, healthy, and sustainable community.
