The Colegio ng Lungsod ng Batangas is the only local college in Batangas City; the capital city of the Province of Batangas which has a distinguished history in the field of education. From its humble beginning in 2005, it has continued to commit itself to serving financially challenged but deserving students.
September 5, 2024 - Colegio ng Lungsod ng Batangas (CLB) held its annual general student and parent orientation at the Batangas City Sports Coliseum. Dr. Mary Ann Antenor, OIC - College Administrator, delivered an inspirational message highlighting the institution's achievements and opportunities, describing CLB's blessings as "Siksik, Liglig at Umaapaw."
Mr. Andrew Brian Deguito, Vice President for Administration and Finance, introduced the CLB Management Committee and Board of Trustees, led by Honorable Mayor Beverley Rose A. Dimacuha. Deans Dr. Retchie M. Guico and Dr. Maria Corazon Castillo presented the faculty from the College of Education and College of Business and Accountancy, respectively.
The event featured performances by CLB Artisan Iskolar and Titans dancers, who were recent champions. Ms. Arabelle Bagsit from the Guidance and Counseling Office addressed misconceptions about counseling services, while Ms. Jeramie Meliton updated students on the CLB student portal.
Information on scholarships and financial assistance was shared by Mr. Deguito and Mr. Allan Lualhati, with highlights including support from Congressman Marvey Mariño. Health and wellness talks covered Dengue and monkeypox prevention, as well as dental and clinic services.
Mrs. Maria Isabel Alea introduced the CLB Library’s Learning Resource Center, and Mr. Gail Magalang reminded students of their responsibilities and code of conduct. Dr. Dolores Borras, Vice President for Academic Affairs, concluded the event with a call to "Mangarap, Magsumikap, at Magtagumpay," urging students to strive for success despite post-pandemic challenges.
The orientation provided valuable guidance for students and parents as they embark on the new academic year.

August 31, 2024 - Colegio ng Lungsod ng Batangas (CLB) students convened in Room 316 for an intensive chess tryout session, running from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. This event was a critical phase in the selection process for the upcoming LCUAA and BUSCAA tournaments. Throughout the day, participants demonstrated remarkable strategic thinking and chess prowess, setting a high bar for the competitions ahead. The strong turnout underscored the growing enthusiasm and depth of talent within the CLB chess community. This successful tryout marks the beginning of what promises to be an exhilarating tournament season for CLB's chess players.

In a magnificent demonstration of talent and determination, Ms. Princess Lynn Garcera emerged as a prominent performer in the recent Vocal Solo, garnering Second Place in the competition. An outstanding performance was also given by the CLB Culture and Arts Folkoric Dance group placing second place in the competition. Their performance signifies creativity and cultivitating the culture that we have. An outstanding performance indeed, because it was not just a dance but also it upholds the rich talestry of Batangueños rich culture and traditions. Congratulations you did a wonderful job on shining at the stage!

August 30, 2024 – The Buwan ng Wika celebration, organized by the Culture and Arts Officers and guided by advisors Mr. Jeffson C. Acorda and Mr. Lorenz Aaron M. Isla, was a vibrant display of Filipino talent and culture. The event featured a range of contests that highlighted the creativity and skills of students across various categories.
In the Masining na Pagkukuwento contest, Lhya Larz De Leon from BEED took first place, while Keith Ammuel E. Torres from BPED secured the second spot, and Rommel Abella from BSBA Marketing Management earned third place.
The Pintahusay competition, Ashley Ilagan from BSBA Marketing Management clinched the first prize, followed by Daniel Marco Dagli of BEED in second, and Melvin Ebora of BSA in third. The Short Film category highlighted BSBA MM’s exceptional production, with BPED and BTLED taking second and third places, respectively.
In the singing competition,Princess Lynn Garcera of BEED was crowned the champion, with Gina Roceta of BSBA MM and Leabell Lazo from BSA finishing in second and third place. For Makabagong Sayaw, BPED emerged as the winner, with BEED and BSA securing second and third places, respectively.
The Haying Pinoy contest, BSA excelled to take first place, with BSBA Marketing Management and BEED following in second and third places.
The event showed the rich cultural heritage and artistic talents within the student body, fostering a deeper appreciation for the Filipino language and traditions.
